Wrangler started making a whine in 4th and I think my diff or gearbox is on the way out

I've got a 2015 Wrangler Rubicon that I use mostly for weekend trips out to Fossil Rock and the occasional commute from Sharjah to Dubai when the traffic isn't completely mental, but lately there's been this high pitched whine that kicks in right around 80 kph in fourth gear and it's driving me absolutely nuts because I can't tell if it's coming from the transfer case or the actual gearbox itself and every mechanic I take it to seems to have a different theory and a different price tag attached to their guess. One guy said it's just the pinion bearing in the rear diff and another said the NSG370 manual box is notorious for losing fluid through the shifter seal and I'm honestly just tired of playing parts roulette with my hard earned dirhams. I've been poking around on some local off road groups and a couple of guys mentioned there's a workshop that does solid Jeep Gearbox Repair Sharjah and they actually drop the box and open it up to see what's really going on instead of just telling you to source a used one from Al Sajaa and hoping for the best. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the hassle of leaving my car with a specialist in Industrial Area for a few days or if I should just turn up the radio and pretend the whine is part of the rugged Jeep character until something actually snaps and leaves me stranded on the side of the Maliha road at sunset. Anyone else chased down a mystery transmission noise on their JK and actually found a shop in Sharjah that diagnosed it right the first time?
