Does injector cleaning actually help, or is it just snake oil?
#1
My Nissan Patrol has been feeling a bit rough at idle lately and fuel economy has dropped noticeably over the past few months I've already changed the spark plugs and air filter, so I'm starting to suspect the injectors might be partially clogged. A friend told me to just run some fuel additive through it, but another guy said that's useless and I need a proper ultrasonic cleaning. I was looking at www.exoticautoservices.ae/car-injector-cleaning-and-replacement-service-abu-dhabi/ and it seems like they offer both cleaning and replacement, but I honestly don't know if cleaning is worth the money or if I should just replace them outright on a 2017 model with 140k km. Has anyone here done injector cleaning and actually noticed a real difference? I'm not trying to waste cash on something that gives placebo results for a week. Also curious if they pull them out or just run a machine through the fuel rail. Would love some real-world before and after stories from people who've been in the same boat.
